Since 2002, particularly thanks to the support of the ADEME, the Plan Export of Eco-industries (PEXE) has effected an initial mobilization of French eco-industries which has produced tangible results. The PEXE association, founded in 2007, benefits from important gains:
The grouping of mobilized companies, which are, today, founding members of the association, represents 3000 eco-industries of which the majority are SME.
Some of these companies participate actively in 8 “action groups” of the PEXE, located by sector or geographically and functioning at present.
The Consultative Strategic Committee, which took over from the former “Comité d’orientation et de suivi” (which met on 20 occasions from 2002 to 2007) guarantees a collective guidance, associating, particularly, the main ministerial directorates (ministry of the environment, ministry of finance and agencies concerned (ADEME, UBIFRANCE, ANR, AFD, OSEO)
Starting from an initial positioning aimed at benefiting the development of eco-industries in exterior markets, the PEXE, since its creation as an association, clearly emphasizes the pre-development of eco-industries, especially innovation.
