Active mission

International development

To direct “action groups” which will intervene in order to facilitate the exportation of eco-industries via a sub-network or by geographic zone.

8 of these groups were established during the period of 2003-2009. They are organized according to geographic zones or by a specific field of action:

  • China
  • PECO – Eastern Europe
  • Water/emerging markets/
  • Renewable energy
  • Sustainable construction
  • Acoustics
  • DASRI/Medical waste
  • Air quality.

Within these groups the companies meet in order to define, collectively, what is needed for their international development. They have achieved significant results:

In international markets the growth rate, over the last two years, of the eco

  •  Industries which are members of the PEXE board, has been, on average, 9% per year. This is 4% better than the average of French companies in this sector.
  • Over the past 5 years since the creation of the PEXE, the mobilized companies have experimented with different ways of bringing companies together: collaborative work, collective missions, initiation of collective projects, etc. The results have been formal partnerships, either “one-off” or indefinite, as well as several cases of “company clustering” in an area.

Directing international “action groups” remains a priority for the association and these groups will continue in 2010. The activities which result from these groups are selected for their capacity to obtain individual or collective contracts for the companies and, therefore, additional business.

The PEXE surveys each activity undertaken so that there is a better use of  public support tools.

The number of “action groups” will increase each year in order to follow:

  • The evolution of the network with, in particular, account taken of emerging sectors of activity
  • New opportunities concerning export zones

Concerning the international scene, the PEXE also works with dedicated organizations: ONUDI, Pacte PME International, Ubifrance, and wishes also to create, in the future, a network with its foreign counterparts in order to identify ways of collaborating on a European or international scale.
